THE STORY

Qutub Minar: a closer look

Qutub Minar stands within an early Delhi Sultanate complex. The minaret’s changing sections and carved surfaces reflect work undertaken under successive rulers. The surrounding remains are essential to understanding the monument; the tower alone tells only part of the story.

Old Delhi rewards a guided walk through bazaars and food lanes. In New Delhi, gardens, galleries and broad boulevards offer a quieter contrast. Plan time for both rather than treating the capital as a single photo stop.

How to experience it

Allow time to understand the setting, not just take a photograph. A local guide can add context, help select the most relevant stops and adapt the experience to your interests and walking comfort.

Before you visit

Opening hours, access, tickets, photography rules and advance arrangements should be checked for your travel dates. Share any mobility or dietary requirements when requesting a programme.
