THE STORY

Qutb Shahi Tombs: a closer look

The Qutb Shahi Tombs form a dynastic funerary landscape near Golconda. Domed tombs, landscaped spaces and architectural variation help trace the royal line and its artistic traditions. The complex provides historical context for both Golconda and Hyderabad.

Hyderabad’s bazaars, Irani cafés and biryani kitchens make food and everyday culture part of the journey. Beyond the capital, Warangal, Ramappa and reservoir landscapes broaden the experience. Ramoji Film City offers a separate cinema-themed day rather than a historical monument visit.

How to experience it

Allow time to understand the setting, not just take a photograph. A local guide can add context, help select the most relevant stops and adapt the experience to your interests and walking comfort.

Before you visit

Opening hours, access, tickets, photography rules and advance arrangements should be checked for your travel dates. Share any mobility or dietary requirements when requesting a programme.
